Inside is 2 inch Intellicore foam with a thermal break, rated at R-20.4, a step up from the 18.4 of the 4-Layer version.

- If you are happy with a simpler overlay and want to keep the budget down, the Clopay Canyon Ridge Carriage House (4-Layer) skips the cladding layer and still reaches R-18.4.
Design Options
Choices stack up in order: design, top section, cladding species, color, then hardware. There are 15 designs across three series. Tops can be solid or have arched, square or rectangular windows, with double-door versions too. Cladding comes in Clear Cypress, Pecky Cypress or Mahogany. Stain looks run medium, dark, walnut and slate, and paint colors include black, white, bronze and charcoal.
Spade handles are included, with spear and colonial handles, strap hinges, step plates and a ring knocker available. We sort through all of this with you at the estimate.

The cladding and overlay are made to resist moisture, and they will not rot, warp or crack the way wood can. The replaceable vinyl bottom seal in an aluminum retainer also helps keep melting snow out of the garage.
