North and east of the county seat lies Medina Township. The city of Medina borders it to the southwest, and at the 2020 census 9,183 people lived in the township. There's no other Medina Township anywhere in Ohio.

The township takes its name from Medina in Arabia. Early settlers first planned to call it Mecca, but after a dispute they settled on Medina. The city of Medina was founded on November 30, 1818, as part of the Connecticut Western Reserve.
The township cares for four cemeteries: Weymouth, Hamilton Corners, Remsen and Medina Center. Weymouth is an old Medina County community named after Weymouth, Massachusetts, the native home of an early settler. It had a post office from 1824 until 1905.
Garages here come in two main kinds. An old farmhouse on a country road often got its garage or barn decades after the family moved in. A house on one of the newer streets is more likely to have an attached garage for two or three cars, with a wide door or a pair of them. Those two kinds of garages wear out in different ways, and we handle both.
The township sits at about 1,014 feet. Winter brings deep freezes, and the interstate and state routes here get heavy salt. That salt rides home on the car and collects along the bottom edge of the door, where the cables and brackets are.

Interstate 71 cuts across the township, with exits at State Route 18, at the start of Interstate 271 and at State Route 3. Heading north toward Medina, I-71 meets the southern end of I-271 right here. Brunswick Hills Township is across the northern line. Granger Township is the eastern neighbor, Montville Township is due south, and York Township is next door to the west. Hinckley, Sharon Township, Lafayette Township and Liverpool Township each touch one corner.
