Stark County is the eighth-most populous county in Ohio, with 374,853 residents at the 2020 census. Canton is the county seat, and the county makes up the Canton-Massillon metropolitan area, which is part of the larger Cleveland-Akron-Canton region.
It is the southern edge of our main service area, and we work all of it: Canton and North Canton, Massillon, Canal Fulton, Louisville, Alliance and the townships around them. Broken springs, snapped cables, crooked doors, dead openers and new installs are all part of a normal day, with same-day service on most calls, often within 1 hour. We call you when we're on the way.

We replace torsion and extension springs, rehang doors that came off their tracks, fix cables that came off the drum and get openers working again. On older detached garages we also repair or replace split wood sections.

From a single-car carriage-house door for an older Canton home to a double insulated door for a new build, we measure, recommend and install. We carry Clopay and Wayne Dalton doors and Genie and LiftMaster openers. See installation.
The county is named for John Stark, the Revolutionary War general who became known as the "Hero of Bennington" after the Battle of Bennington in 1777. In the 1760s and 1770s Moravian missionaries from Pennsylvania, among them Christian Frederick Post and John Heckewelder, came to preach to the native people here.
Stark was first part of Columbiana County, was split off in 1807; the county was set up in 1808 and organized a year later. The first permanent settlements started in 1805 with Canton, and as many as 80% of the early settlers may have been German speakers from Pennsylvania, with others from Virginia, New York and New England. Lumbering and sawmills were among the first industries, since every new settler needed lumber. When the Civil War began, Stark County men were quick to volunteer for the Union, and more than 1,100 had enlisted by 1862.
In the early 20th century the rivalry between the Massillon Tigers and the Canton Bulldogs helped make the Ohio League prominent, and the Bulldogs went on to become a charter member of the National Football League.

The Tuscarawas River, a principal tributary of the Muskingum, rises southwest of Hartville in northern Stark County and first runs west through Uniontown into Summit County. From Barberton it turns south again through Stark County past Clinton, Canal Fulton and Massillon. Nimishillen Creek, whose basin takes in the city of Canton, forms there where its East Branch, which flows through Louisville, meets its Middle Branch, and the West Branch joins after coming through North Canton. The creek then heads south past East Sparta toward Tuscarawas County, crossing both glaciated and unglaciated parts of the Allegheny Plateau. Quail Hollow Park, a 703-acre county park that opened in 1975, was once a family farm first cleared by settler Conrad Brumbaugh in 1820. The Lenape, also called the Delaware, were the last tribe to live on that land before settlers pushed them out. Today its trails are open for hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing, and a small pond is used for fishing and ice skating.
Stark County winters swing between hard freezes and thaws, and that back-and-forth is rough on springs and bottom seals. Older neighborhoods have plenty of detached garages with wood doors that swell and stick, while newer subdivisions have heavy insulated doors whose springs wear out on schedule.
Interstate 77, which first opened in Akron and Canton in 1962, runs north and south through the county and meets U.S. Routes 30 and 62 in Canton. U.S. 30 follows the old Lincoln Highway corridor and is a freeway around Massillon and Canton.
U.S. Route 62 runs through Canton alongside U.S. 30. U.S. 250 also crosses the county, and state routes including 21, 43, 44, 153, 172, 173, 183, 241, 619 and 687 serve the rest of the county.
Canton had 70,872 residents in 2020, Massillon 32,146, Alliance 21,672, North Canton 17,842, Louisville 9,521 and Canal Fulton 5,325.

Installed new door & opener. Great service from initial service appt to installation.
Excellent service and highly recommended! I called them initially for routine garage door maintenance, but during the inspection, they identified that the spring was broken. I had been experiencing issues in the past with the garage door not opening or closing properly, and they were able to identify the underlying problem quickly. They recommended replacing the spring with higher-quality rods and drums, and I’m very happy with the result. I could immediately feel the difference after the repair—the garage door feels much stronger, smoother, and more secure than before. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what needed to be done and why. I really appreciate their honest recommendation and quality of work. Great experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing garage door repair or maintenance!
