Belt, Chain or Wall-Mount: Which Is Right for You?
- Room above or next to the garage? A belt drive or a wall-mount opener keeps it quiet.
- Want the ceiling clear? A wall-mount (jackshaft) opener leaves room for storage, a car lift or a high-lift door. It needs a torsion-spring door, which we check at the estimate.
- Heavy wood or oversized door? We make sure the door is balanced first, then size the opener to it.
- Power outages? Ask about battery backup, so you can still get the car out.

- Check the door’s balance, springs and rollers first, because a heavy door wears out any opener.
- Install the rail or wall unit, safety sensors and wall control.
- Set the travel limits and force, and test the auto-reverse safety system.
- Program your remotes, keypad and smartphone app, and show you how everything works.

- Open, close and check from your phone: with the Aladdin Connect app, you can see if the door is open and close it from anywhere.
- Alerts and auto-close: get a notification when the door opens, and set it to close by itself if it’s left open.
