Wayne County is in the northeastern quarter of Ohio, south of Medina County. Wooster is the county seat, the 2020 census counted 116,894 people, and the county makes up the Wooster micropolitan area.
Wayne is a farm county with a strong German heritage, and it borders Medina County, home of our office, on the south. Our crews come down I-71 and the state routes to fix garage doors in Wooster, Orrville, Rittman, Doylestown, Smithville, Shreve and the farm townships in between. Springs, cables, rollers, openers and full door replacements are all in a day's work, with same-day service on most calls, often within 1 hour. We call you when we're on the way.

We fix broken springs, frayed or snapped cables, worn rollers, bent track and openers on houses, detached garages and farm outbuildings with sectional overhead doors.

If a door is beyond repair, we'll measure the opening and help you choose a replacement, from basic steel to insulated models from Clopay, with a LiftMaster opener if you want one. See installation.
The first Wayne County, created by the Northwest Territory government in 1796, covered much of northern Ohio and all of Michigan's lower peninsula; that county survives today as Wayne County, Michigan. The Wayne County we serve was laid out in legislation in 1808, formally organized in January 1812 and in effect from March 1 of that year. Both honor General Anthony Wayne, the man called "Mad" Anthony.
Settlement came in waves. First, between the 1790s and the 1820s, families arrived from New England, most of them Congregationalists of English descent, although in the 1810s several arrived who had become Methodists, Baptists or Presbyterians during the Second Great Awakening. Those Yankee settlers established the county in 1812. German immigrants followed in large numbers between the 1820s and the 1880s, almost all of them Lutheran, and in the early 1850s a large group of Irish Catholic immigrants arrived. German Americans have been the largest single group in the county since the late 1800s.
Many Wayne County families still trace their roots to that early New England settlement. Plenty of people who list their ancestry as simply "American" are in fact of English descent, from families that have lived in the state so long they no longer think of themselves any other way.

The county is almost all land; water covers only 0.3%. Killbuck Creek rises in northern Wayne County, loops north into southern Medina County past Burbank, then turns south through Wayne, Holmes and Coshocton counties toward the Walhonding River, flowing west of Wooster on the way and later passing Holmesville, Millersburg and Killbuck. Through the Walhonding, the Muskingum and the Ohio, Killbuck water finally reaches the Mississippi.
Farmhouses with detached garages, pole buildings and machine sheds are common here, and so are long gravel drives that throw dust and grit into door tracks. Grit wears rollers, and cold nights stiffen springs, so a door that works fine in August can struggle in January. We clean and lubricate the moving parts, replace worn rollers and check spring balance during every tune-up.
U.S. Route 30 runs a freeway section around Wooster and has an interchange with State Route 3 there; it once carried the Lincoln Highway, which became State Route 10 between Mansfield and Wooster. East of Wooster the route passes through farmland. Interstate 71 crosses the county's northwest corner. The Wayne County Airport is northeast of Wooster's downtown.
State Route 585 begins at an interchange with Routes 3 and 83 on the east side of Wooster, passes Smithville, and runs northeast through Doylestown.
Wooster counted 27,232 residents in 2020, Orrville 8,452, Rittman 6,131 and Doylestown 3,051, followed by the villages of Shreve and Smithville. A small part of Norton, a city mostly in Summit County, is also in Wayne County, and Kidron, New Pittsburg and Sterling are census-designated places.
Wooster and five more Wayne County towns have their own page. We serve the whole county, all 31 communities on this list.

Installed new door & opener. Great service from initial service appt to installation.
Excellent service and highly recommended! I called them initially for routine garage door maintenance, but during the inspection, they identified that the spring was broken. I had been experiencing issues in the past with the garage door not opening or closing properly, and they were able to identify the underlying problem quickly. They recommended replacing the spring with higher-quality rods and drums, and I’m very happy with the result. I could immediately feel the difference after the repair—the garage door feels much stronger, smoother, and more secure than before. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what needed to be done and why. I really appreciate their honest recommendation and quality of work. Great experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing garage door repair or maintenance!

Yes. Wooster and all of Wayne County are in our area, from Creston and Sterling to Mount Eaton and Shreve, with same-day service on most calls, often within 1 hour. We call you when we’re on the way.
Yes, if it’s a sectional overhead door. Springs, cables, rollers, tracks and openers on outbuildings get the same service as on a house.
Cold stiffens the grease in the tracks and makes springs work harder, and a spring near the end of its life often breaks on a cold morning. A fall tune-up with fresh lubricant and a balance check helps.
Yes. The estimate is free anywhere in the county.
