Ashland County sits southwest of Medina County in the northeastern part of Ohio. The city of Ashland is both the county seat and its largest city, and the county had 52,447 residents at the 2020 census. It makes up the Ashland micropolitan area, which belongs to the Mansfield-Ashland-Bucyrus combined area.
Most of the county is small towns and farmland, and every corner of it is in our area: Ashland, Loudonville, Perrysville, Jeromesville, Hayesville, Polk and every township. Springs, cables, rollers, openers and new doors are all part of what we do, with same-day service on most calls, often within 1 hour. We're available 24/7.

Our technicians fix broken springs, loose or snapped cables, doors off their tracks and openers that quit answering the remote, on homes, detached garages and farm buildings.

We help you pick a new door that suits the house, from simple steel to insulated carriage-house styles by Clopay, and add a LiftMaster opener if you'd like one. See installation.
Ashland County was carved out on February 24, 1846, from pieces of Wayne, Richland, Lorain and Huron counties. Like its county seat, it was named after Ashland, the home of Kentucky senator Henry Clay near Lexington, Kentucky, and Clay was very popular in this part of north-central Ohio.
The region was settled overwhelmingly by people from New England and felt much like early New England. The first non-Native settlers were a group of families from Windham County, Connecticut, and from 1800 to the mid-1820s nearly every newcomer came from rural Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.
Higher education followed. On May 28, 1877, Ashland held a town meeting to weigh a proposal from local German Baptist Brethren Church to open a college, and Ashland College was founded in 1878. Today it is Ashland University, with a 135-acre main campus, affiliated with the Brethren Church. Besides its graduate school it has four colleges, covering arts and sciences, education, business and economics, and nursing and health sciences, and it offers over 60 majors; Ashland Theological Seminary is one of its divisions.
Most of the new county's land came from eastern Richland County townships, taken whole in the case of Green Township and in part for Clear Creek, Milton and Mifflin.

The county is 0.9% water, and much of that water is in the south. The Mohican River begins in Ashland County southwest of Loudonville, where the Black Fork and the Clear Fork meet, and it takes its name from the Mohican tribe. Below the lake's southern bank, Mohican State Park stretches along the Clear Fork for 1,110 acres, and 4,525 acres of Mohican-Memorial State Forest ring it on every side. The state set it up in 1949, the year the Ohio Department of Natural Resources began, under the name Clear Fork State Park. In 1966 it became Mohican, because people kept mixing it up with Clear Fork Reservoir near Mansfield. Pleasant Hill Lake itself covers 783 acres near Perrysville behind a 113-foot earth-fill dam finished in 1936. The Ashland County Park District has grown to 18 parks since its start in 2002, and Byers Woods Park hosts a bird walk every month. The state park stays open all year for hiking, camping, fishing, boating, picnics and mountain biking.
Wooded hills along the Mohican mean shade, damp and falling leaves, which rust hardware and swell wood trim around garage openings. Farther north, wind across open fields drifts snow up against garage doors. Either way, a yearly tune-up keeps doors working through the winter.
Interstate 71 crosses the county and has an interchange with U.S. Route 250, signed for Ashland and Wooster. U.S. Route 30 crosses the northern townships, and State Routes 3 and 97 lead to Mohican State Park. Ashland County Airport is northeast of downtown Ashland.
The city of Ashland counted 19,225 residents in 2020. The villages are much smaller: Loudonville had 2,786, Perrysville 729, Jeromesville 531, Hayesville 447 and Polk 310.
Besides those, the county's villages include Bailey Lakes, Mifflin and Savannah, and its townships range from Clear Creek and Green to Hanover, Jackson and Lake.
Six Ashland County communities have their own page, from the city of Ashland down to Polk. The full list covers all 24 towns, villages and townships we serve.

Installed new door & opener. Great service from initial service appt to installation.
Excellent service and highly recommended! I called them initially for routine garage door maintenance, but during the inspection, they identified that the spring was broken. I had been experiencing issues in the past with the garage door not opening or closing properly, and they were able to identify the underlying problem quickly. They recommended replacing the spring with higher-quality rods and drums, and I’m very happy with the result. I could immediately feel the difference after the repair—the garage door feels much stronger, smoother, and more secure than before. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain what needed to be done and why. I really appreciate their honest recommendation and quality of work. Great experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing garage door repair or maintenance!
