Usually the remote battery is dead, the remote lost its programming, or the opener’s lock button is on. If a new battery doesn’t fix it, we can reprogram or replace the remote.

Blinking usually means the opener found a problem, most often the safety sensors. Beeping often means a battery backup that needs a new battery. Tell us the brand and what you see, and we’ll help on the phone or fix it on a visit.

First check the outlet and the breaker. A power surge can damage the opener’s circuit board. We can test it and replace the board, or give you a price on a new opener if that makes more sense.

Most openers last 10 to 15 years. If yours is newer and needs a gear, sensor or board, a repair usually makes sense. If it is very old or has no safety sensors, a new opener is often the better choice. We’ll give you both prices.

The usual causes are a remote with a stuck button, an old remote or keypad that someone else still has programmed, or a faulty wall button or wire. Check the remotes in your cars first, and look at the opener app if you have one. If it keeps happening, we can erase old codes, check the wiring and fix or replace what is failing.

Pull the cord toward the door or the motor, depending on the model, to reset the latch, then press the wall button. The trolley rides along the rail and clicks back onto the door. If it won’t catch, or the door is crooked or heavy, stop and call us.

Often, yes. A chain or belt usually comes off because it was too loose, a sprocket is worn or the door jammed. Don’t run the opener until it is fixed. We can put it back on and set the tension, or replace the worn parts.

Usually a stripped drive gear, a disconnected trolley, or a broken spring making the door too heavy. Don’t keep pressing the button, because it can burn out the motor. Call us.

It depends on the part and your door: a small non-insulated door needs lighter, cheaper parts than a heavy insulated or wood door. We inspect for free and give you the full installed price before any work starts. Weekends cost the same as weekdays.
