Clopay Reserve Wood Semi-Custom gives you a real wood garage door with recessed panels, built by hand from redwood, cedar or hemlock. You start with one of six base designs, then add windows with true divided lites and the hardware you like. It comes stained at the factory, painted white, primed for painting on site, or in a Color Blast color.
Homes with traditional style, from colonials to older Tudors, often look best with this kind of door. Design Options
First, pick one of six recessed panel designs and your wood: redwood, cedar or hemlock for staining, or smooth or grooved Extira if you plan to paint. Then decide on the top section. Keep it solid or choose from many window layouts with glass like seeded, rain or narrow reed.
Finish options include factory stains such as Natural Oak, Teak and Mahogany, white paint, primer only, or Color Blast. Handles, strap hinges and step plates come in spade, spear and colonial styles. We lay out samples at the estimate.

Yes. Clopay can ship the door primed so you or your painter can finish it on site. It can also come factory stained, painted white, or in a Color Blast shade if you’d rather it arrive finished.
All three are stain-grade woods with their own natural color and grain. We bring samples to your estimate so you can see each species with a few stain colors and decide which suits your brick, siding and trim.
Each window is made of separate small panes held in a divided frame, instead of one large sheet of glass with a grille laid on top. It gives the door a more traditional, built-by-hand look up close.
