The Clopay Avante is a glass garage door built on a 2-1/8 inch commercial grade aluminum frame. Instead of solid steel panels, each section holds tempered glass, acrylic or solid aluminum, so daylight pours into the garage and the door glows at night. It suits modern and mid-century homes, remodels with clean lines, and anyone who uses the garage as a workshop, gym or hangout space.

Design Options
You build an Avante in three steps: pick the glazing, pick the frame color, then add hardware. Glass comes clear, gray or bronze tinted, laminated, mirrored or in Midnight Gray, and acrylic comes in clear, white, gray, black, bronze or frosted. Frames come in clear, bronze, black or dark bronze anodized, standard white, or painted bronze and chocolate.
You can also mix in solid aluminum panels painted to match the frame, and add an optional aluminum grip handle. At the estimate we help you balance light, privacy and warmth.

Pick a glazing that blocks the view. Frosted acrylic, obscure glass and mirrored glass all let daylight in while hiding what is inside. You can also add solid aluminum panels on lower sections and keep glass up top.
No. The commercial grade aluminum frame is built to resist weather and needs very little care. Rinsing off road salt and grime a few times a year keeps the finish looking good. Clopay also publishes a care guide we can leave with you.
